DevelopWell's DEIJ Offerings in 2024

If you're feeling an urgency around doing the necessary DEIJ work this year, you're in the right place. We firmly believe that DEIJ is an integral part of People Operations and, in order for your business to succeed, you must think critically about how to approach DEIJ.

"When DEIJ is viewed as a 'check box' or an 'afterthought,' People Operations fails," Akailah Jenkins McIntyre, DevelopWell's Principal Consultant of People Operations and DEIJ, states. "This is what leaders must understand. There are no successful staff meetings, performance evaluations, or onboarding processes that don’t critically think about DEIJ—that is who people are, what they need, and how we’ll meet them where they are when considering their identities."

So, how can you get started?

We recommend browsing through our current DEIJ offerings to see which ones might be a good fit for you. Every organization is different! For example, if you're brand new to DEIJ, you might be interested in our DEIJ 1.0 offering. Or, you might be looking for help specifically with your employee resource groups, in which case you'll want to look more closely at our facilitation offerings.

DevelopWell's 2024 DEIJ offerings

Equity audits

We'll take a look at your company's alignment with best DEIJ practices via assessment of policies, focus group discussions (to include affinity groups), and survey distribution. Equity audits occur as a stand-alone offering or as part of a holistic organizational culture audit.

DEIJ Trainings

We have a robust selection of trainings, from the basics of DEIJ work to how to address bias in the workplace—and more.

  • DEIJ 1.0: A 3-session series on the basics. If you're looking to dip your toe into the DEIJ waters, this is the place to start. We'll go over key terminology and address relevant societal structures.

  • DEIJ 2.0: A 3-session series covering how to put DEIJ into practice in your workplace. We'll dive deeper than DEIJ 1.0 by looking at how your workplace is taking action and identifying areas of potential improvement.

  • Identifying and counteracting bias in the workplace: We all have biases, and being aware of them helps to keep them out of workplace decisions. In this training, we'll explore the concept of bias and work to uncover unconscious biases.

  • Identifying and addressing white supremacy in the workplace: This offering explores the concept of white supremacy and how it affects the workplace and your employees.

  • Recruiting with DEIJ in mind: When it's time to post a new position, are you thinking about how to recruit (and retain) diverse talent? This training will help you understand how to do that.

Equity coaching for leaders or ERGs

Our coaching offerings help leaders or Employee Resource Groups (ERGS) develop an equity lens. We'll show you how to solve organizational problems, address employee needs, and navigate crises—all with equity in mind.

Facilitation of ERGs

We'll facilitate discussions for your ERGs on topics that are most relevant to them, including how to strategize around workplace needs. We can also help craft DEIJ statements and accountability measures for your organization.

Finally, we can intervene when you need DEIJ crisis management and help you understand how to best support your employees.
